The city of Buenos Aires will be the scene this weekend for the penultimate Grand Prix of the Indoor Trial World Championship, which arrives in Argentina after having seen Adam Raga re-take the World Title last Saturday in Sao Paulo. It was Buenos Aires where the Gas Gas rider obtained last season his fourth World Crown.
In spite of having assured the Championship, Raga has not lost a piece of ambition for the Gran Premio Repsol YPF Ciudad de Buenos Aires: “Obviously, I have already achieved my aim for this season, but I will not relax because for me, taking the victory is second to nothing, and I will maintain this spirit for the last two events of the calendar. Furthermore, I will not have the pressure I was carrying when I was fighting for the World Crown, so I should enjoy still more of riding the rounds remaining. All and all, I just can’t wait for Buenos Aires event to arrive!”.
For Raga’s team mate in Gas Gas, Jeroni Fajardo, competing once again in Argentina has an special meaning for him: “I am very eager of riding again in the scene where I took my first and, so far only, victory in the Indoor Trial World championship. Last year’s triumph was something really special and the best celebration for this anniversary would be taking the win again”.
The Argentinan podiumees in 2005 where the same men who achieved the rostrum last weekend in Sao Paulo, although in a different order. The photo of last year’s podium caught Fajardo in the highest step, with Adam Raga second and the Montesa rider Takahisa Fujinami third.
The wild cards for Gran Premio Repsol YPF Ciudad de Buenos Aires will be again Toni Bou and the Polish Scorpa rider Tadeusz Blazusiak. The round will take place in the pavilion Luna Park, starting at 8 p.m. (local time).
