The Spanish team made up by Adam Raga, Albert Cabestany, and Toni Bou took the victory in the Indoor Trial des Nations held at the Palacio de los Deportes Jose María Martín Carpena ahead of more than 4,000 spectators. In the final classification, Great Britain took second place - thanks to Lampkin, Dabill, and Jarvis, and Japan made it in third place with Fujinami, Nozaki, and Ogawa.
On the very first lap, the Spaniards manifested that they had everything in their favour to obtain their fifth consecutive title per country, since they just penalized five points ahead of Great Britain’s 35 and Japan’s 43-point tally. During the second lap, the situation was very similar, and ultimately, the Spanish squad took an ample victory with 52 points of advantage ahead of Great Britain and 82 ahead of the Japanese team.
Individual World Champion Adam Raga, reviews the most recent victory of the Spanish troop: “I’m very satisfied with this new triumph from my own and the team’s point of view. The Spanish team was made up of the three men that took the podium in the World Championship, whereas the other two selections participated with riders who qualified in 6th and 5th in the series, each one in a different team, and this has also made a difference. The entire squad has enjoyed this event, we’ve been at a great level, achieving a significant victory from the beginning, and we have finally been able to win by quite a lot of points.”
Spain is the only winning country of all five editions of the Indoor Trial des Nations held so far.
