3 Jours de Trial en Indre

The 14th edition of the ‘3 jours de trial en Indre’ will be organised at Easter in La Châtre. Each year the event welcomes more than 200 riders from all over Europe in one of the nicest trials regions in France. The trials club of La Châtre is also responsible for the organisation of the World round and Europe round this year.

Here is all the necessary info to get your entry for one of the best trials around:
The entry forms will be received after January 1st. There are two possibilities for your registration :

On the website of the club of La Châtre, you can register with the online entry form (software used Internet Explorer or Netscape version 6.2) and your name will be registered automatically and you will receive an automatic answer a few days later. The payment will be made in La Châtre the day before the event. (Please use this way, easier for the club)

The other possibility is to print the form and send it by post mail to : Philippe Yvernault, 146 avenue Charles de Gaulle 36000 Chateauroux - France.
The payment will be made in La Châtre the day before the event. The confirmation will be sent as soon as we are receiving the form.

The race number will be attributed following the order of arrival. A rough estimate departure time will be attributed with the confirmation. The final departure time will be determined the day before the event and will be communicated to the riders at the time of the administrative control.

The level of the sections are a little bit lower than the 4 days in Sardent in the Creuse located at 70 kms south of La Châtre but the principle is the same with 1 lap each day between 50 and 80 kms with 25 sections on the Saturday, 25 on Sunday and 22 on Monday. There is an intermediate category S3+ with half sections of S3 and the other half of S2. The categories are Randonneurs (very beginners), Seniors 4 ( beginners) S3, S3+, S2, S1 and Expert. 

The sections are using some of the World championship round ones say around 12 and the other are in granit.

The cost for registration is 76 Euro for the 3 days and is including gazoline on the lap for the 3 days. The gasoline is supplied by an external provider on the lap.

The numbers of pilots are limited to 220.

The bikes are parked since the Friday in a big hall closed area after the administrative and technical controls. If you arrive on Saturday morning, this is OK also. The first departure is at 9.30 am on the Saturday following the order delivered during the administrative control. The days after, the order is determined following the same time than Saturday but minus one half an hour and start at 9.00 am.
Administrative and technical control will be reinforced mainly for lighting forward and backward and registration number on the back side of the motorcycle, in addition, the insurance certificate is mandatory.

The atmosphere is generally very friendly and the club is very experienced in building sections even when it rains. To discover this kind area, this is a very good trip, La Châtre is a very beautiful town with 5000 inhabitants and is a commercial center.
 
Again this year :

The dream: A favorable weather ie without rain and snow… during the event and the week before for the organisation. The Sunday show with photos projected on a huge screen of the 2 first days with music.

Always: Following the success of the principle to supply the gazoline on the lap, the gazoline price is now included in the fee. Information tower to supply the information on the organisation
Internet website will allow the classification to be available in the week after the event. A speaker to make the comments. Two high pressure cleaning system to wash your bike. The motorcycle can be left under the hall with a housekeeper during 2 nights from Friday night to Sunday one. New site in 2005. No bib, only stickers on the motorcycle and on the helmet. In addition of the potatoes cake, specialty from La Châtre, a sandwich is supplied during the race at noon.

L’Echo du Berry, the local newpapers is supporting the event by publishing a special page on the event with all the related information mainly where the sections are located. « Big Farmer » Jean Luc welcome in Cauchin, you will never forget this place as our « Big Farmer» is the very best guy in the world…
